Brown insects

Has anyone noticed little brown insects in their houses this year only 2-4 mm big. We have been told they are biscuit beetles but they are in the bedrooms not the kitchens.
They only appeared after the alterations to the houses in Fairfied, well that's when we noticed them.
I want to know if it is a Fairfield problem or is it all over Hebden. Please Help.

I would hate beetles eating my biscuits :-(
