I really hope not for the sake of the towns small businesses. That would have been an ideal site for a car park too.

The rumours that Tesco have purchased the site of the Old Fire Station are completely wrong.
I am lead to believe that the site has actually been purchased by Marks and Spencer.
I must say a new food outlet in the town such as M&S would make a welcome change from the current choices of the Spar and the Co-op.

If either is the case that will be the end of Hebden Bridge as we all know and love it. Think of the extra traffic on the main road and the competition with the local shops
