Fire Station Move

Don't know if this has been discussed and dismissed already, but wouldn't the gasometer site down by the Railway Station be the ideal site for a combined Hebden/'Royd fire station - easy access to the main road with no sharp corners - lights already in place to control traffic. If the Council did some sort of swap with the fire brigade (both there to serve us, of course) we could have the proposed gasometer pay and display car park (planning application 04/02444/LAA) in the centre of town instead, more where it's needed.
