If you get any of these emails from Africa, asking for money, don't just delete them. Suprising though it may seem, some recipients do get taken in.Forward them to the specialist fraud office in W.Y. Police to help them with gathering evidence which could lead to prosecutions for fraud. The address to forward them to is DP65@westyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.

There seems little point in sending details of attempted fraud to the W. Y. Police. I just delete the messages. If one has not been defrauded then no crime has been committed. However, I write as one who HAS been the victim of fraud and the fraudster HAS addmitted to that fraud but the W. Y. Police seem not particularly to be interested. The fraudster got a caution it seems and now lives under the mistaken impression that the slate has been wiped clean. And the W. Y. Police ignores still (after two years) requests from the victims (there were four or five of us at least) for an explanation of their apparent inaction.

Perhaps, if the officers responsible at the Burnley Police station read this they might yet get in touch with me. And perhaps the fraudster will too - but that is doubtfull as I well know for the person responsible knows who I am, where I am and how to contact me.
