Bill Rofe: Paintings of landscapes and vegetables

Exhibition: Arts Festival Shop, Albert Street, 18-20 November 2011

Hebden Bridge artist Bill Rofe has had another creative year painting outdoors. At the show, you can see vibrant landscapes of his home town - Hebden Bridge in the spring with its characteristic terraces jostling with trees in full leaf on the steep hillsides, night time Hebden Bridge all twinkling street lamps and brrr! Hebden Bridge in the snow.

But this year there's more: Bill has turned his expressive style to a series of sumptuous vegetable paintings. Tomatoes, marrows and Big Max the pumpkin all get the Rofe treatment, captured in their chaotic prime and good enough to eat.
