Hebden Bridge Arts Festival has issued a call out for talented local performers to show off their skills during their two Street Sundaes events.

The festival team have are looking to expand the number of performance areas for their two days of free street theatre, and more local artists are needed to perform alongside some of the UK's top street entertainers.

Local Street Sundae regulars such as the Junior Brass Band, Helen Wilman School of Dance, Blueberry Pie, Hill Millies Clog Dancers and Calder Valley Youth Theatre amongst many others, fill slots across Hebden Bridge town centre, and now new community based groups are being asked to join the fun.

For 2015 the festival organisers want to hear from local acts who think they have what it takes to perform in front of hundreds of spectators.

Arts Festival Artistic Director Helen Meller said: "We're looking for local bands, dancers, crooners, puppeteers, mime artists, choirs, solo musicians, flash mobs - really anything which showcases the array of performance focussed talent in the valley".

"We can't offer any payments, but this is a brilliant showcase for your group to take a couple of slots of up to 20 minutes in front of large outdoor audiences."

If you are available on either Sunday June 28 or July 5 between 12noon and 4pm, and think you have what it takes to take in Street Sundaes then email Mosa Mpetha.
