Saturday, 29 July 2017
Multi-instrumental folk performer Tim Moon leads the line-up at the Trades Club on Sunday afternoon at a benefit gig for the Morning Star, backed by Hebden's own Creedy and a team put together by Barnaby Neale of The Revelator Band.
Tim has played Glastonbury festival twice and has played with Chumbawumba, Fairport Convention and many more. He played locally in partnership with Peader Long in Moon de Lune and was in the Sex Patels and played briefly with the Incredible String Band.
Creedy's and Barnaby's talents are also exceptional and well-known to audiences both local and beyond.
There'll be brief speeches from Chris Green of the White Ribbon Campaign against violence, and Joan Coan of union Unite Community. Pete Lazenby will MC.
The gig runs from 2pm to 6pm and entry is £5 and £4 with veggie curry included, though donations are appreciated.
There'll be raffle prizes from Cuba.
