Hebden Royd Bye-election and co-option

Caldene ward vacancy: Bye-election on 23 November
Labour councillor Robin Dixon has resigned because he is moving out of the area. The HebWeb understands that an election was called by the Conservative Party, whose candidate (Richard Marshall) then failed to get his paperwork in on time. The Party therefore had no candidate to contest the election.
On Thursday, 23 November, voters in the Caldene Ward will however be able to choose between Stephne Harrison (Liberal Democrat) and Barnaby Neale (Labour Party).
Cragg Vale ward vacancy: Council to co-opt
A vacancy on the Town Council has arisen following the resignation of Cllr Luke Daber.
No poll has been claimed within the advertised period and as such this post can now be filled by the Town Council by co-option.
For those wishing to be considered for co-option please submit a letter of application by noon on Thursday 23rd November 2017, include details of residence and reasons for wishing to represent the people of Cragg Vale on Hebden Royd Town Council, to the Town Clerk for presentation at the meeting of the Full Council on the 29th November 2017 at 7.30pm.
Applicants should be available to attend the meeting where they will be invited to outline (for no more than five minutes) their reasons for seeking co-option.
