STEAM ROLLS INTO HEBDEN BRIDGE

Saturday, 9 June 2007

THIS TRAIN was chartered by The Society of Friends of Bowring Park in Liverpool to mark 100 years of the park. The steam train left Liverpool Lime Street and arrived in Hebden Bridge (via Huddersfield) just after midday today. Liverpook accents were heard all over Hebden Bridge today.

Many photographers assembled on Hebden Bridge station for the event - one told the Hebden Bridge Web that he had come from the other side of Leeds.

See the Bowling Park website for more info about the the park.
