Hebden Bridge Band Contest
Brass bands march from St Pol Square to George's Square

The bands started from St Pol Square and marched along Bridge Gate towards George's Square. The bands played a "road march" and weren't judged on their musical performance for this part of the contest.
The bands then played two pieces each in a very crowded George's Square
The name of the band competing is kept hidden from the adjudicator, and during the contest the adjudicator for the day was hidden behind the closed curtains of this room above the contest arena in George's Square. To keep the bands selection in a random order a pre-draw took place to establish the playing order.
