Hebden Bridge Race for Life Women's Team

A team of ten local women and young Chloe England, aged 7, completed the Race for Life in Huddersfield on Sun 28 June raising over a thousand pounds for Cancer Research.

The team, made up of women who train with Box 4 Fitness Instructor Kate Dakers, do weekly women's boxing fitness sessions together in Hebden Bridge.

''This is the second year we've run the Race for Life and it's not our last. With so much support and generosity from friends and family it was easy to get out there on the day and run – even in the heat'' said Kate.

''Everybody knows someone who's connected to cancer and that's why we run this race. Its a small thing we do, that can help to have a big effect on a lot of people''.

All eleven runners finished the 5km race and came in at a respectable times cheered on by friends and family.
