: As we remember the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, and those who were blitzed in WW2, it can't be right that we thank them with a miserable 75p rise in pensions. Our older pensioners gave up their youth to save us from dictatorship. We have a prosperous economy again. We should all be ashamed that our pensioners have been given so little. At the very least those over 75 should be given a serious increase. They need and deserve it. They fought for our freedom.

I thought that England was in a bad state of affairs, economy wise. My last Social Security Check was $15.00 or so less than I had received earlier in the year. The British pound Stirling not worth as much I heard. My check is never the same due to the exchange rate. I am not complaining, just stating a fact.
