At 7.30 am today I opened my bedroom curtains to take a look across the valley. To my horror the trees in front of Winsor Road were being felled at great speed.

Judging from the activity and noise from local residents my fear was it could turn very nasty.

I fully support the residents in the Winsor Road area.I have looked at the pictures on the site and the security people looked really in-the-face kind of people.

Well done to you all!! Lets hope the council step in now and put a stop to this once and for all.

Unlawful distruction of woodland

I felt shocked and upset by the photos from yesterdays distruction of important and well loved woodland. It is so frustrating to see a blatant abuse of people and nature, for the benefit of so called 'developers".

Mark Clyndes has lived in this valley for a long time but obviously has little regard for the community or the things that make this such a lovely place to live. To have such a disgusting lack of respect for fellow human beings makes me wonder why he would choose to live somewhere that prides its self on being a safe and friendly home for many people. I live here because of these very reasons and also because I love to look out of my window in the morning and see nature, not more houses.
