Fruit Trees at Callis

We (Calderdale Boaters) have recently received some funding to plant a community orchard at Callis Mill. I would be grateful if anyone with any knowledge of local fruit tree varieties in the Upper Calder Valley could contact me via this site giving details of varieties that are proven to give a yield. Anybody interested in helping to plan or plant the orchard could also get in touch. Call in at Callis or leave a message. Thanks

Calderdale boaters have recently received a grant to plant fruit trees at callis mill. There will be a workshop, 'How to plant a fruit tree' £10/£5 concessions, followed by a festive lunch and an afternoon when workshop participants can earn £10 by planting a fruit tree. The workshop is scheduled to start at 10am, lunch at 12pm and the afternoon planting to run from 1-3pm on wednesday 21 December. Everyone welcome.
