Ted Hughes Centre Consultation

It's nice to have Cllr Jane Brown's thanks.

As one of our local representatives, she could help this website by asking why Calderdale council do not put relevant documents on their website which concern developments which affect Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge.

Currently, I am hoping to convince the planning department to release a copy of the Ted Hughes Study Centre pre-feasibility study onto the web, so those of us who are interested in this important local development can give some informed feedback. The planning officer concerned has been most helpful but evidently has to go through a mass of red tape in order to give the go-ahead for what should be a common-sense measure. He may be able to get it onto this site - eventually.

However, he should not have to spend his time organising this. If Calderdale can put documents into libraries, it should be able to publish them on its website. As a councillor for the area affected, can she make this hopefully modest policy change?

I would like to debate and encourage others to debate this significant local development. But it's a non-starter without the information.
