Calder Holmes Park

Everyone is getting worked up about Calder Holmes Park, playing right into the hands of the so-called 'consultants'.

Of course the park will never be built on, not in a thousand years. That is 100% definite. Guaranteed. If a formal proposal came through, people would simply not allow it, and use whatever means in their power to prevent it.

What the consultant's proposal does do, however, is divert peoples' attention away from some of the other measures (eg on street parking, the removal of Bridge Gate car park, etc). It's a classic text book case - put something in for people to get worked up about and let other proposals slip though un-noticed.
