Hebden 500500 VOICES

Plans are under way to celebrate with 500 voices singing on and around the bridge.

The event will also be part of Hebden Bridge Arts Festival and take place on on Sunday 4th July.

If you want to support us, email Alan McDonald, or join our Facebook group.

Plans are still forming. At the moment they're proposing:

  • One or more songs that everyone performs, of which at least one will be specially commissioned
  • At least one song led by each of many participating choirs, with a chorus, which others will know about in advance so they can rehearse it

Hebden 500Come and join in. Send ideas, offer help, wish them well. It is hoped that Calder Valley Voices and the Hepton Singers will be there. As will many other choirs from communities, churches and schools.

500 voices

Let's make a bigger noise than the Street Choirs Festival of 2002 (when the above picture was taken). We can be 500 voices!

A full programme of Hebden 500 is to be launched soon and there’s still chance to suggest other events or to get involved. Contact Jason Boom, Neighbourhood Manager, at the council offices on St George’s Street, call 842181 or email jason@hebdenroyd.org.uk.

Details of all HB500 projects, and the events calendar, can be found at www.hebden500.co.uk.
