Hebden Bridge resident Arnold Woods, the Business correspondent of the Halifax Evening Courier, died on 13th June from the result of injuries sustained in a cycle accident with a car in Sowerby New Road, the previous week.

Mr. Woods, aged 55, who lived in Palace House Road, was a governor of Riverside School and a member of the local Labour Party and leaves his wife, Margaret and two children.
