A new restaurant opened in Blackshawhead, Hebden Bridge last Friday night, for one evening only, as the children of Blackshawhead Sunday Club welcomed diners to "Heaven’s Kitchen", in aid of Children in Need.

In the space of two hours over sixty diners enjoyed a two course meal in relaxing surroundings at Blackshawhead Chapel, with young bow-tied waiters and uniformed waitresses at their service.

The idea, which had been thought up and planned by the children themselves, was a huge success, with over £400 being raised for the BBC children’s charity, and with a number of patrons disappointed that they could not book for next Friday
