Calder Holmes sandpit: donations wanted

Friday, 24 August 2007

Donations of buckets and spades are being sought for the sandpit at Calder Holmes. Jason Boom, the Environmental Community Warden, tells the Hebden Bridge Web that the sandpit has been a great success this year and has had up to 40 children using it at once. If anybody has spare buckets and spades, and would donate them, that would be great, Just bring them down and leave them there. Jason will check them, along with his daily rake and check of the sand pit.

Jason says, "Thanks must go to everybody who has used this facility this summer and the friends of Calder Holmes Park who we are working with to improve facilities in this area."
