Free Radicals: A Political Salon

Tuesday, 22 July 2008

Hebden Bridge Trades Club will be hosting a new forum for political discourse on the last Sunday of every month, welcoming radicals of every hue.

The first event takes place this Sunday (27th July), starting at 8.30 pm, and will feature a “Question Time” session called “Making the world a better place”.

The panel comprises Jason Elliott (Ethical Business Network, Big Green Weekend), Janet Oosthusyen (socialist, environmentalist, parliamentary candidate), Chris Ratcliffe (Hebweb) and Christina Hooley, not pictured (Climate Chaos Kitchen, Treesponsibility).  Dave Boardman will be in the chair, and any questions for the panel can be sent to him: dave@tradesclub.info.

Each night will provide food for thought with food to eat at half time.  The first half will be an open discussion of current issues and future meetings will involve guest speakers, a film, a play, a debate…
