No ADSL in Hebden or Mytholmroyd

If your telephone exchange is Hebden Bridge or Calder Valley you may now have to wait until Hell freezes over before you can get ADSL.

BT have completed their review of the remaining exchanges for ADSL rollout and have concluded that enabling 173 of these exchanges "is not viable at the present time." This means that the area will for the time being (maybe years) be left in a broadband hinterland.

I would urge people to continue to register their interest for broadband and but now step up the pace and start complaining to BT, OFTEL (Soon to OFCOM) and their political representatives (from whatever party) that denial of broadband will damage local businesses and deny children and adults alike access to the next generation of hibandwith Internet resources.
