SYLVAN SETTING FOR SONATAS
May 26, 2006
Moving melodies and superb scenery are being combined in a special tea concert as part of the 13th Hebden Bridge Arts Festival.
The tea concert held in the salon at Walshaw Lodge in Hardcastle Crags on July 2 features two Canadian musicians, Margaret Bruce on piano and Warwick Lister on violin, performing sonatas by Mozart, Beethoven, Tucapsky and Schumann.
The concert starts at 3.30pm and tickets, only available in advance, cost £15, including a full Sunday tea.
The concert is just one of more than 80 events in the Festival, including a huge variety of music – from classical to rap, and world beats to experimental electronica.
Programmes and booking forms are available from the festival office on Albert Street, Hebden Bridge or by calling 01422 842684. Details and regular news bulletins can also of course be found here at www.hebdenbridge.co.uk/festival.
