The Bollywood Brass Band

Picture House, New Road, Hebden Bridge

8.00pm

£11 (£9)

The B.B.B. is Europe’s first Indian wedding brass band, comprising a dozen musicians, playing saxes and brass, and featuring Bhangra drummers from The Dhol Foundation. It’s a uniquely London blend of Hindi film hits, Bhangra rhythms and brass arrangements, with influences from jazz, other world music, and the thriving UK dance remix scene. Great to dance to and great to watch, especially as the band projects clips from some of the great Indian movies throughout the show (more information at www.bollywoodbrassband.co.uk “ ... Britain’s brilliant Bollywood Brass Band strikes a blow for cultural fertilisation - and makes music that’s great fun” London Evening Standard). Bar.
