I see with astonishment that a sum of money has been awarded to three Calderdale secondary schools to "ensure that even more children have access to the best possible facilities and learn in an environment that gives them the knowledge and skills to succeed in the global race" (Halifax Courier, 3.04.15, page 4). Wow - maybe Mr Whittaker's "incandescence" has had some effect after all?

Er...no. The schools benefiting will be North Halifax, Crossley Heath and The Halifax Academy.

I'd have liked a response in the Courier from Mr Whittaker or one of his supporters, but it seems their school funding fires have all gone out.
