I’d really like to be able to contact our Labour candidate for Luddenden Foot ward, Lesley Sleigh. I’d like to know where she stands politically. Yet Hebweb doesn’t have an email address for her (OK, she may not use the internet …) but I’m surprised that the Calder Valley Labour Party doesn’t appear to have one either.

Her address is given in the list of candidates, but we don’t have time to write to her, as we have postal votes and have to send them off soon. And we haven’t had a visit from any of the candidates.

It’s true that we are voting Green in the general election but we would still consider voting Labour in the council elections if we knew that Lesley is neither Blairite nor a Booth supporter. As we don’t know, we’re going to vote Green in the council election. Not good enough, Labour!
