HR?

Having read an entry to the Discussion Forum with regard to books available in our library there is frequent reference to HR. What does this mean? Heben Royd? Sorry I can't make sense of it. I am an experienced editor of educational materials for speakers of other languages. I have an MA in Applied Linguistics.

It means Human Resources. A horrible, depersonalising expression. I think it used to be called Personnel Management or some such.

Within the context of the posts I believe "HR" stands for "Human Rights".
