Budget Day protest against cold homes

Throughout the country on Budget Day Unite, the Union campaigners, demanded action on energy bills.
Activists were in Halifax talking to people about the Energy4All campaign and getting signatures on cards to present to Rishi Sunak demanding action on fuel bills.
Event organiser, Mytholmroyd's Roger O'Doherty told the HebWeb, "The response from the public was excellent. This is an issue that touches many people's lives. The energy companies make mind boggling profits while people literally die in their homes unable to afford to put their heating on.
"The government could solve this problem with the stroke of a pen putting a windfall tax on these profits."
