Free Shows in St George's Square

pPod: a new theatre experience

Horse + Bamboo have created a stunning portable theatre, the first of its kind in Europe and bring to Hebden Bridge two family shows Early One Morning and Botany Begins at Home created by Bob Frith and Alison Duddle. The pPod shows create worlds where everything is familiar and, at the same time, disconnected and strange. These 15-minute shows combine live and recorded music and are enchanting and utterly engaging. Both stories have a folk-like quality, which evokes the world of tradition within a contemporary setting.

Early One Morning
performances at 11.00am, 11.30am, 12.00 noon, 12.30pm

Botany Begins at Home
performances at 2.30pm, 3.00pm, 3.30pm and 4.00pm.

The audience for each performance is limited to 35 – once seen, twice smitten.

Other performers in the Square from 1.00pm include The Peace Artistes and Batinka.
