The Clown, the Singer and the Storyteller is a
performance of three acts. An improvised clown solo in the commedia de’l arte tradition with Tim Gibbons, a selection of songs sung by Katey McShane written by herself and accompanied on acoustic guitar and finally stories of many traditions told by Peter Findlay.

Kerouac’s Dream – A Life on the Road

Inspired by Jack Kerouac’s novel On the Road Allan Taylor left his home in the sixties with nothing more than a guitar and a hunger to live the life of the travelling troubadour. The first half of the evening is a film by Jack Shea, Who Owns Jack Kerouac? A powerful and controversial documentary exploring the relationship between Jack and his never formally acknowledged daughter Jan. “One of the most important films ever made about the Kerouac legend” (Beat Poet Ron Whitehead)

This is followed by a concert by Allan Taylor of his songs “On the Road”.
