Calderdale was just on Countryfile. A few photos of Hebden, Incredible Edible Todmorden, Ted Hughes and Luddendenfoot + +

I received a phone call last night from my partner in Sheffield. He had seen images of Hebden Bridge on a pub TV, but no sound. When I turned it on I saw Incredible Edible Todmorden (IET).

Nick Green of IET is heavily involved in the prospective development of Incredible Edible Mytholm (IEM). Planning permission is currently being sought for a supermarket and hotel on the Mytholm Works site, which local residents are opposing.

We propose development of a food growing site at Mytholm. Nick spoke at IEM's Growing Futures open day at Hebden Bridge Town Hall on Saturday 13th April. Nick showed slides of IET. We saw the real thing on TV on Countryfile, Sunday 21st April!

Sounds interesting . . . Can you please clarify what the difference is between a 'Food growing site' and allotments? Sure there are differences, I am just not clear.

Also, small point but . . . only 'some' local residents are against the supermarket, hotel and Hydroelectric Power plant idea. Quite a few are for it!!
