There didn't seem to be a designated crossing place for parents and children leaving Burnley Road school today. Apologies if we're mistaken about this, because it seems an extraordinary oversight - but we'd prefer to be corrected and reassured than witness a tragedy. My wife collected our granddaughter today and witnessed children dashing out through gaps in the traffic. Lots of parents park at the Community Centre and the usual crossing has been discontinued. When she drove on to the main road later she stopped to allow some children and parents to cross - which didn't please the drivers in her wake!

We hope this was a one off and that this thread will not outlast the weekend!
