Tree Felling on Melbnounre Street

Does anyone know if the trees felled today behind Melbourne Mill, on land covered by a Tree Preservation Order, had planning consent? The Mill has consent for conversion into flats, but I am not aware of plans to fell trees.
I'd be grateful for clarification.
