Lives Remembered - Bob Leedham, Something Sweet

We are all so saddened to hear of the loss of Bob Leedham, the owner of 'Something Sweet'. Bob & his wife Gemma have been so lovely to us, always offering competition prizes and support with our Christmas shows. On a personal note, we always found Bob to be lovely during our after school visits for sweets and he will be sorely missed. Gemma is in our thoughts and we send all our love to her and Bobs family & friends x

I was terribly upset to hear the sad news. I only knew him as a customer of the shop but he came across as a lovely man - brilliant with the kids and full of banter for the parents. Thinking of his family at this very hard time.

One of the reasons my Manchester based family liked coming to Hebden Bridge was the visit to Something Sweet where the children would spend their pocket money. One of the grandkids has picked up a Scouse accent and he so enjoyed Bob teasing him about it and competing with him to see who could get it the most authentic. That boy says he is very sad he won't be able to talk to Bob again.
