The Staves at the Trades

The Staves were one of The Guardian's Pop Picks of 2012 and are
playing a one off headline gig in Hebden Bridge on Tuesday 21
February.

Currently on tour with another rising star Michael Kiwanuka, The
Staves have been picking up rave reviews in the last year and visit
the Trades Club for a special intimate show.

The Staves

The Guardian described the three Stavely-Taylor sisters as being able
to 'reduce an audience to awed silence', and they're developed their
sound on tour with the likes of Willy Mason, Josh Ritter and James
Vincent McMorrow.

They're also attracted the attention of legendary producers Glyn and
Ethan Johns - whose combined credits include The Rolling Stones, The
Eagles, Kings of Leon and Laura Marling to name – who found The
Staves' talents so compelling that they both independently tracked the
band down.

The Staves' debut album, due for release in 2012, will be the first
record on which father and son have shared production credits.

"This is a real coup for the Trades to get The Staves who will
definitely one of the break out bands of 2012, especially with New
Folk being so popular at the moment, but hurry up because tickets are
going really fast," says Trades Club spokesperson Paul Clarke
