Fruit for Free at Hebden Bridge Train Station

Monday, 9 July 2012

The redcurrants, blackcurrants and the fruit planted outside Hebden Bridge Railway Station between the car park and the railway fence are now ready for picking.

Tending these fruit bushes and looking after the gardens outside the station are just two of the things the Friends of Hebden Bridge Station get up to.

The group also provides the photographic exhibitions in the waiting rooms on both platforms as well as seeking improvements in train services and in the upkeep of the historic station building.

The FoHBS are now looking for more members to join to help with the gardens (just an hour on some Saturdays and Thursdays) and especially they need someone to help maintain the website.

Volunteers please contact: Lesley Mackay.

The next meeting of the FoHBS is on Monday July 16th at 6.45 at the Albert Pub. New members welcome.
