Training opportunity: use and management of People’s Community PA

The People’s Community PA have received a grant from Hebden Royd Town Council to organise training in the use of the PA equipment. Places are available on the course starting at the new town hall on Monday 23 July at 6.30pm.

The training course will enable trainees to set up, operate and pack away the PA. They will then be in a position to operate the PA at fund raising and other events, supporting local community groups and local musicians. The People’s Community PA will then be available for community use with a trained operator to set up and manage the PA for local events.

Community groups will be able to hire the equipment for their own fundraising events. Hire will be cheaper if community groups have their own trained operators.

The course is open to members of other community organisations, which would then keep down the cost of its use.

Young people are especially welcome as the equipment was funded by a grant from Calderdale Young People’s Service to support young people in the valley. For more information and a place on the course call Creedy on 07778 348701.
