HB Partnership offers Community groups their 'three minutes of fame'.

Thursday 10th October: Hebden Bridge, our Town: review of 2013

The full extent and range of Hebden Bridge's active community life will be reflected next month, when more than twenty community organisations are expected to take up the offer to participate in Hebden Bridge Partnership's annual "Hebden Bridge, our town" review of the year.

As in past years, community organisations will have just three minutes to share with others their recent activities and their plans for the year ahead.

The event is hosted by Hebden Bridge Partnership, the umbrella organisation bringing together voluntary sector and community organisations, as part of its AGM. It will be held on Thursday October 10th, at 7pm in the Town Hall.

Andrew Bibby, chair of Hebden Bridge Partnership says: "This is usually a fascinating and inspiring occasion, when we get to be aware of just how much is happening locally. The Partnership has been running this event each year since 2008, and it's always astonishing to realise how much energy and activity there is going on in Hebden Bridge. Because of the number of groups who are normally represented, we reluctantly have to enforce the three minute rule tightly, otherwise the meeting would go on all night."

Invitations have been sent this week to those groups who are members of the Partnership and to other groups who have participated in previous years, but Andrew Bibby is keen to make it clear that other local community organisations are also welcome to participate. They are asked to contact him before the end of this month.
