New 2015 Hebden Bridge Visitors' Guide Published

Monday, 23 March 2015

The Hebden Bridge Partnership, which exists to contribute to making Hebden Bridge a better place to live, work and visit, has just published the new 2015 edition of its Welcome to Hebden Bridge Guide. After the success of the original leaflet, produced for the first time last year, the Partnership was determined to keep the popular guide going so the bulk of the costs have been met from advertisements: by the White Lion, the Bookcase, Bridge Mill (Innovation and Il Mulino) and the Picture House.

Tourist Guide

This year's highlights include the return visit of a major cycle race to the town when the Tour de Yorkshire speeds through on Sunday 3rd May, the Handmade Parade and Arts Festival in June, and much more. All the major events and festivals are listed. Also featured is a new addition to the Pennine Way – the 'Hebden Bridge Loop' – which will be launched on Saturday 25th April.

The 2015 Guide, which points out all the places and sites visitors should not miss, will be available at the town TIC, the train station, the Town Hall and in local cafés and pubs. It will also be distributed by Hebden Bridge Partnership volunteers to some other TICs in Yorkshire including neighbouring Howarth - the intention is to attract those who visit Bronte land to come over the top to Hebden. This coincides with the publication by Hebden Bridge Walkers Action of a new guide to walking between the two communities.

The Partnership is also hoping that, following on the work of its Visitor Economy Strategy group, by 2016 a more substantial set of publicity materials for Hebden Bridge could be available, funded by more local businesses with the support of the Town Council and Calderdale Council.
