The Shed Gallery, Hebden Bridge's newest pop up exhibition space!

Monday, 22 June 2015

The Egg Factory has announced the launch date of The Shed Gallery, Hebden Bridge's newest pop up exhibition space - on 26th June from 6pm to 8pm.

Their first outing will be part of the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival, showing work by Louise Lockhart of Printed Peanut. Louise will also be launching her first book Up My Street at her exhibition opening in The Arts Festival.
Up My Street is a concertina book that folds out into a delightful high street celebrating the traditional shops that are disappearing from British towns.

Louise Lockhart

The book is printed by old-fashioned spot lithography in London and is published by Design For Today. Louise has grown up in Hebden Bridge and it seems fitting to launch her book in the 'town of little shops'. There will be a limited number of signed copies available.

The Egg Factory will be brimming with lots of other interactive activities throughout the Festival from Planting Terrariums to miniature Hot Air Balloon alongside artist talks and the amazing Sarah Corbett coming to talk about craftivism. This really will be an eggcellent week in Hebden Bridge's new creative co-working space.
