Hebden Bridge will have its own Dance Festival

On Sunday October 9th 2016 Hebden Bridge resident and dancer Ralph Nimmann is organising this new festival for Hebden Bridge. He is looking for others willing to help organise this event.
"I am amazed about the spirit of creativity in this wonderful town. I feel proud having several festivals going on, and I feel passionate about adding a dance festival on the calendar."
The idea sparked off at a meeting of the Calderdale Dance Artists Network in March in Hebden Bridge, inspired by the Saltaire Day of Dance. It was decided to use this dance festival to raise money for charity. Sunday 9th of October was the date chosen.
A website and a Facebook page have been set up and some venues have been reserved.
"I have never organised a festival before, but I trust the creative spirit and the right people in Hebden Bridge will support this project. Hopefully this dance festival will develop into a whole weekend event. in the future," Ralph told the HebWeb.
