Hebden Bridge to have its own Radio Station

Launching in June, designed specifically for the people of Hebden Bridge, Hebden Radio will play the 'Music You Love!' with local presenters, local news, local gigs, events and so much more!

Hebden Radio will play the best selection of songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and now! Including specialist Music Programmes dedicated to Blues, Country, Rock, Musicals, Jazz, Movies and more.

Dave Moses, property developer and foster carer, is the Programme Controller and has told the HebWeb, "Hebden Bridge prides itself on it's culture, bringing with it a varied mix of local events. Hebden Radio will be there, bringing all the action to the radio. We welcome local musicians, artists, writers, chefs, business owners, educators and many more. Our aim is to showcase local talent and share something new every time you tune in."

The station will operate 24/7 throughout the year and will be available to listen Online and through mobile apps for both iPhone and Android.

Hebden Radio is a commercial station, funded through sponsors and advertisers. They aim to at least break even on running costs within the first year. At this stage, they're taking on volunteers with the future aim to provide paid positions when possible.

National News will be provided by Radio NewsHub, whilst local stories will be sourced from Calderdale Council, relevant emergency services teams and there'll be a section on the website for listeners to submit stories too.

Hebden Radio are completely separate from Recycle Radio, who provide a pop-up radio service from time to time. Hebden Radio will be a full time Station.
