Mayor’s 1940s Charity Event

Wednesday, 8 March 2017

The Mayor of Hebden Royd, Councillor Tony Hodgins will be holding his annual fundraising event on Saturday 1 April at 7.30pm in The Waterfront Hall, Hebden Bridge Town Hall.

Step back in time as we recreate the iconic era of the 1940s with an evening full of entertainment. There will be music from the award-winning Hebden Bridge Brass Band, a dance performance from the fabulous Bazzmatazz, and vintage vocalist Miss Elsie Dene will be sure to have you singing along to wartime favourites, and dancing the night away to the swing and boogie-style songs of the time!

In between all the entertainment we have made time to serve you with a delicious 1940s inspired hot buffet, which is included in the ticket price. There will also be a well-stocked bar, with all of the classic drinks available. Dress to impress with an optional 1940s flair.

Any monies raised at the event will support Calder Valley Search & Rescue, which is the Mayor’s chosen charity. A raffle will be held on the evening with the opportunity to win some amazing prizes.

Tickets are on sale now, priced at just £15 each. Tickets can be purchased from the Clerk’s office in the Hebden Bridge Town Hall or by telephoning 01422 842181 or emailing rebekah@hebdenroyd.org.uk.

The Mayor hopes you will be able to join him and looks forward to seeing you on this special occasion.
