Mytholmroyd Arts Festival: Activity Trail launch

Wednesday, 12 October 2016

Mytholmroyd Arts Activity Trail launches this Sunday as part of the Arts Festival weekend Friday 14th to Sunday 16th October. For this special launch event there will be a series of drop-in workshops along the route, themed around the four elements – fire, water, earth and air.

The Project

Annie Harrison, Artistic Director, explains, "We're celebrating our fantastic community and the glorious setting in which we live and work. The Trail encourages everyone to enjoy the great outdoors in new ways and to have fun exploring their own creativity."

The Trail will be an ongoing legacy from the 2016 Mytholmroyd Arts Festival.

The route can be followed all year round with a guide that will include creative outdoor activities contributed by the four Festival workshop leaders - artists Dorothy Simister, Tina Foran and Sally Barker and poet Winston Plowes.

Participants can share photos of their work in an online gallery.

The special Trail launch guide for Sunday 16th is now available at www.myarts.org.uk and via the Festival website where you can find details of all the events and activities taking place this weekend, indoors and out.
