I would like to say a big thank you to the lovely chap, who went round HB last Friday (and other days as well I suspect) with his bucket and shovel, giving the pavements in the central area a good sprinkling of sand.

It is such a pleasure to be able to walk on the pavements in icy weather rather than risking live and limb by walking on the road instead.  

So a big thank you to the unknown gritter.
