So, work on the infamous A646 Charlestown culvert is almost complete.
Give the boss of Yorkshire Water a pay rise … NOT!
Everyone involved should hang their heads in shame after months of road closures and traffic lights.
Still, I suspect lessons will have been learned … NOT!

I don't think in reality we as laypeople really understand the complexities or intricacies of highway maintenance, flood and culvert engineering on a main highway.
I'd like to instead add a note of thanks to the workers, those working behind the scenes to repair, fabricate and make good what was clearly a complex piece of work and add a note of thanks to those who kept us updated as to its progress. A Hebden note of positivity rather than a moan as some are wont to do.
