River Pollution Nutclough Wood

I was in Nutclough Wood about 1.45pm today (Mon 1st June) and the top section of the river (turning right over the bridge from Dodnaze Orchard direction) was running a virulent bright green colour. It definitely wasn't algae. Does anyone have any knowledge about where it might have come from or what it was?
