Town Hall Café re-opens for business from Monday 12th November

Town Hall

Hebden Bridge Town Hall will very shortly be the place to come for coffees, teas, lunches and light refreshments. The café, in the attractive community lounge area overlooking the courtyard, will be operating from Monday (Nov 12th), and the staff there will be ready to serve both users of the Town Hall and the general public.

The Town Hall café is being operated jointly by Alison Pearson of The Deli (in Market Street, Hebden Bridge) and Kaya Howard of Watergate Tearooms (in Bridge Gate, Hebden Bridge). The café will be open from 9 am to 5 pm.

Peter Hirst, chair of Hebden Bridge Community Association, said: ""More and more people are dropping in to the Town Hall building, not least because Calderdale's Customer First enquiry point is here. We hope that the café will quickly become a popular place with local people, looking for somewhere comfortable and contemporary to have a break."

Alison Pearson said: "We're really pleased to be able to contribute to make the Town Hall a great success. We are looking forward to serving a good and inexpensive range of light meals and drinks. Come in to the Town Hall and find what we have on offer".

The current café arrangement is confirmed until Spring 2013. Longer term, the Community Association has announced that the franchise will be subject to a formal tendering exercise in January 2013.
