Saturday 1 February 2020

The Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge awards grants to local, national and international charities and good causes. Their grant income comes from running events such as the annual Easter Monday Duck Race and the Hebden Bridge Vintage Weekend. Each year, they distribute around £45,000 in grants.

Grants over past year

In the past year, they have provided grants to: Hebden Bridge Riding for the Disabled, Reach4ward, Awakening Arts/Awakening Hearts, Phoenix Radio, Hebden Bridge Old Peoples’ Welfare Committee, Bike Tours for the Wounded, Overgate Hospice, Hebden Bridge Youth Folk, Calderdale Talking Newspapers, Hebden Bridge Saints’ as well as donations to both the North and South Yorkshire Flood Relief Funds and the fund to support those affected by the recent fires in Australia.

Applying for a grant

Applying for a grant is a simple two stage process. First complete an online form which asks for contact details, information about your organisation and a short description (max 500 words) of your reason for applying for a grant.  At the second stage, applicants who meet the club’s criteria for funding will be invited to complete a more detailed grant application form which will be considered by a committee of the club.

Applications can be made at any time and are generally determined on a two-month cycle. Requests for emergency grants can be determined in hours.
