The Future of Mytholmroyd Library

A recent meeting convened by Royd Regeneration & ward councillors saw over 50 people attend to show their support and ideas for a community hub library run by the community for the community. The existing library is due to close because of severe budget restraints on Calderdale Council.
The service isn't well used by all the community and any replacement provision needs to reflect this. This could be an exciting new resource for Mytholmroyd.
Local award-winning authors have expressed their support and we are now in the process of setting up an action working group to plan the way forward.
There is also the possibility of some initial support from Hebden Royd Town Council to help with the process.
